Smithfield Museum

The Smithfield Museum is located in Smithfield, Utah. It’s currently (February 2022) closed to the public and in a state of transition from a collection of historical artifacts housed in a log cabin on city property. The city and historical society is planning renovations to a building on Smithfield’s main street to serve as home to the museum.

I visited the museum by appointment in 2019 and the photographs and videos shared here are from that visit.

Below, my father explains the use of a gunny sack holder.

Local Historical explores local towns and the history of the lives of people who have lived and are living in them. We design things to engage us in local history, provide business and personal services that embrace a local historical ethic and hope to inspire tribute to the rich legacies of people who are testaments of our past and impact us every moment forward.
